Who are the English league’s most improved players?

The official '16/’17 season of the Premier League and Championship ended on the 1st of July. A great time to look back one more time before we start off with an exciting new season, and honour those who outperformed the rest. We know the scores, but what players showed the most improvement during the season? On Friday 14th of July, the Most Improved Player Award winners will be announced.

This individual accolade is not based on which player became the most famous, more valuable, scored most goals, etc. Taking into account data collected from games all-around the season, Remiqz’ software analyses players based on their football intelligence. With these algorithms, an evaluation of the players’ performance (EuroPlayerIndex) in the previous seasons is put against the recently ended one. By subtracting the total difference in team performance (EuroClubIndex), it leaves us with the players who stand out over their teammates and are the nominees for the Remiqz MIP Awards.

The nominees for the Premier League are:

Chelsea: Victor Moses

Liverpool: Georginio Wijnaldum

Everton: Joel Robles
